Kavos has hotels and studios and apartments to rent. Like in other resorts, there are supermarkets, souvenir shops, medical center, cafes and fast food places.

The beach of Kavos is about 2 km long, with shallow water. Tourists can take advantage of all water sports – banana boat, jet skis, water skiing, pedal boats, parasailing, diving and canoeing. Except for the beach of the resort, in the surrounding area there are several more organized beaches (with sunbeds and umbrellas) and small isolated beaches.

Lefkimmi

Lefkimmi is located in the south end of Corfu and it is the second largest village and the second port of the island. The ferry line from Lefkimmi Port to Igoumenitsa is the shortest and fastest way to reach the island of Corfu. The port is relatively small and consists of one pier and parking. There are multiple ferries per day which are more often in the summer. Main road starts from the port and leads first west and after that north to the island capital.

Lefkimmi village starts near the port and stretches for a few kilometers inland. It consists of three connected neighborhoods – Ano (Upper) Lefkimmi, Lefkimmi (or Potami) and Melikia. Ano Lefkimmi is the oldest neighborhood of the settlement, with narrow one-way streets, beautiful old buildings and plenty of bakeries, small cafes and family restaurants. The middle neighborhood, Lefkimmi, is closer to the port and it also has old houses gradually mixing with more contemporary buildings of Melikia. A river flows through Lefkimmi and that is why they also call it Potami (the Greek word for “river”). Tavernas and cafes are lined along both river sides. If you follow the river down to the sea, in 1.5 km you will reach Bouka beach, a long strip of soft sand with some guest houses and a beach bar. highlights: the second largest island village and port with ferry, village in Corfu, Ionian Islands, Greece

Issos

Issos is a large sandy beach next to the Korision lake and the resort of Agios Georgios – south. It is famous for the natural sand dunes making it the widest beach on the island.

It is easy to find it – there are road signs and it stretches just after the north end of the village of Agios Georgios. There are some places with sunbeds and water sports available. The water is shallow and usually calm but in windy days strong waves may appear.

Sometimes areas of the beach away from the sunbeds are occupied by small groups of nudes but the beach is so vast that probably you wouldn`t notice them in the distance.
